Barefoot glamour that captivates the soul!
Our final stay was at the sophisticated Azia Resort and Spa in Paphos. The hotel was extremely welcoming and offered stylish barefoot living.
Me and Simon both agreed that this hotel felt very much like a boutique hotel, but at the same time was like home from home, and had a real edgy London design. I was really looking forward to the sublime view of the blazing indescribable sunset, and we had not even reached our room! We sat and drunk ice cold orange juice in the lounge ‘loveseats’ before exploring the rest of this sensual hotel.
The Azia Resort and Spa felt very calming and yet intriguing to the senses. The hotels symbol is the Asphodel – the immortal flower in the ancient Greek mythology and according to the ancient Greeks it stands for the ultimate happiness of the soul and was the first sight a soul longed to see at the gates of paradise – and paradise is really what this hotel is. What a great place to start married life together.
The romantic location and nature of the hotel, together with the traditional Greek chapel make this the ideal wedding venue. The staff was so friendly and helpful and they are sure to guarantee an unforgettable dream wedding. It was time to check into our room – we walked past the chapel and through the lush gardens where the tropical plants include mango, avocado and guava trees. We were staying in a junior suite. It was extremely secluded and felt as though we were in our very own private villa. I was most content with the room which was decorated in beautiful light
Mediterranean colours. I could not have dreamed for what I saw when Simon opened the balcony door and pointed at our very own terrace with outdoor private Jacuzzi!!! We sat there for most of the afternoon enjoying a couple of glasses of local red wine, and enjoyed the eagerly awaited sunset. This hotel really is a fantastic hotel to stay in for a wedding or honeymoon, and was the perfect end to a wonderful holiday. I think we will come back here too!!
